Liberty State Park and Restroom Trailers

Two years ago, Hurricane Sandy struck the east coast. The Statue of Liberty, one of our most treasured national monuments, is still rebuilding from the storm. Liberty State Park has worked with Portable Restroom Trailers since it reopened a little over a year ago.Liberty State Park is one of the areas surrounding Liberty Island that was damaged most by Sandy. The park took nearly a year to re-open and offer ferry services to the island. As the most popular destination in the State Park system, with 5.4 million visitors last year, it was great to have the park open for all of 2014.During the storm, the terminal building where the ferry tickets were sold and security screenings took place was damaged significantly. The temporary security screening area is using a restroom trailer while the park continues to rebuild.Last year, we supplied Liberty State Park with a 6 unit Advantage series restroom trailer. This year, they are renting our ADA+2 restroom trailer. This is a great trailer to add handicap accessible restrooms to an existing portable restroom or to an existing restroom facility. With the diverse number of visitors the ferry to Liberty Island receives each day it is important to accommodate everyone. As a State Park, it’s essential for Liberty State Park to comply with New Jersey’s regulations. Our restroom trailers are considered ADA Compliant as a permanent structure in all 50 states. They include easier access, shorter ramps, more space, and easy operation. The restroom interiors are also designed with an attractive interior to satisfy all kinds of guests. It’s no surprise Liberty State Park is the most popular state park. As the rebuilding continues, we look forward to seeing more and more people flock back to the park and to the Statue of Liberty. We’re grateful Portable Restroom Trailers has a role in the process.

Portable Restroom Trailers Goes Back to School

Evanston Middle School is located in the South West corner of Wyoming in the Uinta County School District. The middle school will be undergoing some renovations so they will be needing additional restroom facilities. Consequently they reached out to Portable Restroom Trailers.Although the first day of school is August 25th, the trailer will be arriving this week so that the renovations can get underway and the restroom trailer can be set up and working in time for the beginning of the new school year. This year, Evanston Middle School has enrolled more students than ever before so they were in need of increased restroom space. Additionally, the school board told the school that they needed to add more handicap accessible facilities.Because of these new requirements the school decided to remodel everything at once. Unfortunately the work wasn’t completed in time so the remodel and renovations must continue into the school year. This is why they needed to purchase a portable restroom for their students. The school purchased a 6-10 station ADA trailer with the Arctic Package. The ADA trailer was a great choice to provide more handicap facilities. These trailers have non-slip ramps for easy accessibility, as well as a larger space to allow for full wheelchair rotation. In addition, the Arctic Package is very important if the trailer is in a location where freezing temperatures will be expected. Situated in Wyoming, and close to the mountains, weather in Evanston is very unpredictable and it’s possible that the trailer could still be there in the winter, so the Arctic package was essential. The Arctic package protects the pipes and tanks from freezing. During the construction process, the trailers are made with heating ducts throughout the trailer, as well as special antifreeze gel that flows through the pipes to prevent freezing. Managing a frozen plumbing system in a restroom trailer at a middle school while construction is going on is not an ideal situation for anyone. That is why Portable Restroom Trailers takes care in providing many solutions to help prevent various problems and concerns. We hope the construction goes well and we wish the best of luck to the students of 2014-2015!

The Future of Restroom Trailers

Like most industries, the Portable Restroom industry is constantly changing. New trailer models, new technology, and new ways to deliver service are being developed every year. At Portable Restroom Trailers we work to make sure we are up to date on the newest portable restroom information so we can provide our clients with the best service.Last month, the PRT team took a tour of three of the plants that manufacture the restroom trailers that we sell and rent. Teri, Kate, Marie, and Bill from the Portable Restroom Trailer family visited Forest River, Ultra Lav, and another outside partner. One of the reasons for the visits was to get a look at the 2015 restroom trailer models. With new features added every year we look forward to seeing what our customers will have access to next year. This also helps us understand major changes in the industry, new techniques for cleaning restrooms, and the direction our restroom trailer manufacturers are heading.Luckily, Portable Restroom Trailers has a say in that direction. The visit also allowed us to provide feedback to help our manufacturers design better trailers. Our insight into what the customer needs helps shape the improvements they make each year. In addition, we are also able to design custom restroom trailers that our manufacturers can create specific to a client’s needs.By developing such a close relationship with our restroom manufacturers, we are able to negotiate discounted pricing. This means cheaper restroom trailer rentals and sales to our customers.Much like our trip last year to the Portable Sanitation Association International Convention, this trip was all in the interest of educating our staff and building relationships that will help us better serve our customers. We can’t wait to share all of the information we gained! If you’d like to learn more about what’s in store for the portable restroom industry in 2015, give us a call!

Portable Restroom Trailers Goes to a High School Reunion

At the end of July, Portable Restroom Trailers had the pleasure of providing a last minute restroom trailer rental for the Mentor High School Class of ‘84 reunion. The reunion took place in Mentor, Ohio at the Mentor Lagoons Marina which offers quick and direct access to Lake Erie. The marina is adjacent to the beautiful Nature Preserve which includes miles of trails and wild beach, great for walking, kayaking, canoeing, or sailing. The docks at the marina where the reunion took place are private, so each owner must provide their own portable toilets. In order to keep the toilets and visitors safe, the owners must always keep their porta potties locked up. This is one of the biggest reasons why the class needed a restroom trailer rental for the event. Since approximately 160 classmates and guests were expected to attend the reunion, two docks and grass lots had to be reserved for enough space. The Elite 3 was the perfect portable restroom for the event. It comes from our Comfort Series line of restroom trailers which is both practical and elegant, great for any occasion. The portable restroom is compact to fit in almost any location but spacious enough for two private women’s suites and one men’s suite. It is climate controlled, provides flush-able toilets, and running water for optimum cleanliness and safety. The restroom trailer received raving reviews. Here’s what the reunion coordinator said: Are you kidding me?! The bathrooms were the HIT of the reunion! They were incredible! People will be talking about the "5 star" bathrooms for quite some time! John, the driver, was beyond belief! I did not have to worry about a thing. Our location was a bit tricky for him due to limited electrical hook up. I thought we had enough, but with the lights, and bands, the electricity was limited. During the evening, he checked on the trailer, he walked around the lagoons to find extra outlets and then "made it happen". Who does that these days! ...Because of his service, I was able to spend time with my classmates. I have to reiterate how much your customer service meant to me. You made this process so easy. THANK YOU! You were available whenever I needed. Your customer service was incredible. Your product was EXACTLY as promised! You had no "hidden fees". Your driver was on time and very professional. YOU were marvelous! If you find yourself in a predicament, remember it’s not too late to call us. We’ll work hard to get you the best trailer to accommodate your needs...even at the last minute.
