Portable Restrooms Rental Helps Alleviate Holiday Travel Congestion

In November, we wrote about a special portable restrooms trailer headed to the Florida Turnpike (blog post here). The Okahumpka Service Plaza, located at mile marker 299, is one of the busiest rest stops on the road. Currently closed for renovations, project coordinator Areas USA FLTP, LLC reached out to us to help them put in place portable restrooms to serve travelers during the construction process. PRT delivered a custom ADA plus 10 station restroom trailer to the service stop several months ago. However, with gas prices continuing to drop and holiday traffic exceeding previous estimates, AREAS USA FLTP needed additional portable restrooms to accommodate visitor influx. To help handle the increase of over 13,000 cars per day, PRT rented them a 9 station Executive Series restroom trailer. The rental unit served as the perfect complement to the stop’s existing ADA plus 10 station trailer. The rental unit was in place from December 19, 2014 through January 5, 2015. It offered those hitting the road for Christmas and New Years a quality rest stop at a convenient location, which otherwise would have been overwhelmed by visitors. It is the ideal unit for locations with high-traffic. Watch this video for a peak inside the rental unit delivered to the Okahumpka Service Plaza. The Executive Series 9 station portable restrooms trailer has a special floor plan that features a central women’s suite and a central men’s suite. Each suite has a separate entrance. The women’s suite features 5 stalls with ¾ height privacy doors. The men’s suite has 2 hands free urinals with privacy dividers, and 2 stalls with ¾ height privacy doors. Amenities in each suite include: water-saving, hands-free, pedal flush toilets, wall-to-wall lockable vanities, beautiful solid surface countertops, metered faucets, toilet paper, paper towel and soap dispensers, and shatterproof mirrors. The unit is also fully climate-controlled by air conditioning and heat strips.

Portable Restrooms To Attend Private New Year’s Eve Bash

Villa Vecchia is a gated, 18,000 square foot mansion located in Miami Beach, Florida. A legendary waterfront estate, the mansion is located on Pine Tree Drive. Part of “Millionaire’s Row,” the 13 bedroom compound sits on 2 acres, overlooking 250 feet of water frontage. Designed by architect L.M. Barrett, the house was built in 1928 for Byron D. Miller. Miller was the President of F.W. Woolworth, the world’s largest variety chain store - best known as the original pioneer of the “five-and-dime”. Byron Miller was a self-made man, working himself up through the ranks of the Woolworth chain from errand boy to President. Today, the mansion is occasional host to exquisite parties, including the upcoming 2015 New Year’s Eve at Villa Vecchia. The party is a private, by invitation only event for guests and celebrities. In past years, attendees have been entertained with great food, live music, and much more. While the mansion is extremely large with multiple restrooms of its own, much of the New Year’s party is held outdoors. This year, PRT will be delivering portable restrooms to Villa Vecchia for the convenience of outside party goers. The luxury 10 station portable restroom trailer is part of our Denali series. Check out this video for a peak inside the unit heading to Villa Vecchia’s NYE 2015 bash! Perfect for upscale events, weddings, and VIP events, the 10 station Denali restroom trailer has a designer interior effectively optimized for larger crowd movement. The luxury facilities feature lavish appointments such as rich, hand-finished hardwood cabinetry, wood accent moldings, and full-length privacy doors. The warm glow of accent lighting accentuates the rich interior wall coverings, distinctive designer sinks, and metered designer faucets in full-sized vanities. Guests will also remain comfortable in the fully climate-controlled environment with high-efficiency A/C units and heat throughout. To keep the party going, these portable restrooms also feature a surround sound stereo system. It promises to be a welcome addition to the NYE festivities.

Portable Restrooms Team Visits Trailer Manufacturers

As our services expand and our sales team continues to grow, we are investing in our staff to ensure they are fluent in our product offerings. To that end, we recently took eight of our team members on a special trip. The goal was to visit key manufacturers we represent, including Forest River, Ultra Lav by Wells Cargo, and Black Tie, and At each location, the team toured the facility, got a behind-the-scenes look at portable restrooms in various stages of development, and learned the important differences from one brand to the next - focusing on what makes each trailer unique and quality built. They also concentrated on the diverse trailers within a brand, understanding what differentiates one from the next, and expanding their knowledge on waste tanks, shower trailers, artic packages, and much more. Determined to enhance our marketing materials and production information for our customers, they also took a ton of inventory photos. Enhancing our sales team is also about growing together, so the group spent some time bonding on the trip. There was a fun dinner at the Texas Roadhouse, complete with a balloon maker that humored the team with a portable restroom trailer balloon.  A stop at Cracker Barrel for breakfast also ended in some holiday shopping. Overall, the PRT team had a great time and looks forward to visiting Comforts of Home and ACSI in the near future.

Glenwood Caverns' Upgrade to a Restroom Trailer

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is an adventure park located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Charles W. Darrow was the first to discover the system of caves in the 1800s. Darrow decided to open up the caves to the public in 1895. Two years later, Darrow brought lights into the caves, blasted out a tunnel into the canyon, and installed an observation deck. The caves were closed in 1917  due to the war, and stayed closed until 1999 when the owners reopened them to the public. In 2003, many attractions and improvements were initiated. The main attractions included mountain top access by gondola, the first Alpine coaster in the U.S., a swing that takes you out over the canyon, a mountain top restaurant, and mining activities. Over the past 12 years more attraction have been added, including a 4-D theater, laser tag, a rock climbing wall, a zip line course, and bungee jumping.Up until recently, the restroom facilities at this amazing adventure park have been minimal. The guests have only had access to porta potties, or a nearby hotel to use their restroom facilities. Waiting in long lines, and venturing out and away from the fun to find a bathroom can be quite aggravating. The park realized that a better, low cost, practical solution was necessary, so they called Portable Restroom Trailers for help. They have since upgraded their facility by purchasing a 2015 Comfort Series Elite 2-Station restroom trailer with an arctic package. This trailer has two private suites. One suite is for women and the other is for men. Each unit has a flushable toilet; the men’s also has a urinal, and they both contain a sink, soap, and clean water for washing. The Comfort Series restroom trailer has a simplistic design with paneled walls and linoleum floors which makes cleaning very easy. The arctic package that this portable restroom has is perfect for trailers that will be used in cold environments like Colorado. The portable trailers with arctic packages are made with extra heating vents, as well as a special warm gel that flows through the pipes. This special treatment prevents the pipes and the whole trailer from freezing. It is an essential add-on for a restroom trailer that will be used in arctic-like conditions, such as Colorado. We wish the best to Glenwood Caverns and know your new restroom trailer is going to be a huge success!

Charlotte Cattle Baron's Ball Guests Get a Restroom Trailer

The first annual Charlotte Cattle Baron’s Ball took place this past weekend on Saturday, November 8, 2014. The western gala was a fundraiser event for the American Cancer Society. The gala, held at Bruton Smith’s Churchill Stables in Midland, NC, included both silent and live auctions, cocktails, and live entertainment that featured North Carolina native, Kellie Pickler. The goal of this elegant affair was to raise money for cancer research, programs, detection, prevention, and education. They accomplished that with the help of such activities as the silent and live auctions, which consisted of a 10-day African Safari, weekend trip to New York, an Aspen Ski Vacation, as well as other extravagant prizes. A NASCAR Experience package was also included in the auction and donated by Honoree, Bruton Smith, owner of Charlotte Motor Speedway. He is very active in the philanthropic world, as he is the founder of Speedway Children’s Charities, which has distributed more than $47 million to bring support to children.Fortunately Portable Restroom Trailers was able to be a part of the evening, as we provided a luxurious Beach Comfort Elite III restroom trailer for the guests. The trailer was positioned within a close distance to the main entrance and registration area for convenience. To add an extra level of comfort for the guests, the large private suites were warmed with additional heat. Moreover, to add to the atmosphere of the event, the restroom trailer was decorated using large lanterns with flickering candles, while attendants were available to tend to the restroom unit, as well as the guests.Everyone at the western-style gala had a blast as the event raised a great deal of money for such a valuable cause. Thank you for letting us be a part of it and we hope to see you again next year!
