Most recently, a key refinery in Ohio contacted us to arrange several different restroom rentals to support a big expansion project they were planning.  The refinery rented several restrooms, and then quickly joined our family of repeat customers when they decided to add an additional restroom after the first units were delivered. Fueling Commerce and Industry in Ohio Our client operates a large refinery in western Ohio that processes heavy crude oil to produce fuels and chemical products.  Their primary product is gasoline and they also produce diesel fuel, jet fuel, and residual fuels. Their finished product constitutes approximately 25% of the gasoline that is consumed each year in the state of Ohio. All told, the refinery currently produces about two billion gallons of refined products annually.  And when they contacted us, they were preparing for a massive expansion project to drastically increase their production capacity, taking them from 10,000 barrels per day up to 40,000 barrels per day. The expansion project was an enormous undertaking, with a complicated schedule and implementation plan.  The refinery’s employees needed temporary restroom accommodations during the expansion, and they initially reached out to us for three high-capacity restroom rentals for a total of almost 40 individual restroom stalls.  When the project got underway, the refinery needed to add an additional unit to accommodate their C-Level Management team, and they relied on PRT to provide a luxury restroom on a tight schedule. Portable restrooms may seem like a fairly predictable business, but here at PRT we regularly come across new and interesting applications for our inventory of portable restroom trailers.  Some of the most exciting applications we’ve found this season have come from municipal governments in cities and towns across the country. Over the years, we have supported many cities with portable restroom trailers for their parks, sports arenas, and even for critical disaster relief efforts.  But over the past few months we’ve worked with some municipal governments that are finding innovative uses for portable restrooms – and we’d like to share a few noteworthy examples with you today. Park Model Portable Restroom Trailers for Seasonal Tourism Districts Many cities have thriving entertainment districts in or near their downtown areas that experience a significant uptick in foot traffic during the spring and summer months.  While the existing public restrooms in the area may be sufficient on weekdays and during winter months, they frequently reach or exceed their capacity during the busy season.  A few cities that experience this type of seasonal problem have reached out to us recently to discuss potential solutions.
