The business we’re working with was founded more than 10 years ago by a married couple who started out with nothing and built their company from the ground up.  The husband had a strong background in the construction industry, and he identified a need in the Phoenix area for water delivery services to control dust on construction sites. All construction projects in Maricopa County are subject to regional rules and regulations governing the release of dust and contaminants into the atmosphere as a result of building work.  When they decided to tackle this niche, the couple had no equipment and no pre-existing client list.  They invested their own time and money, and worked feverishly to make their dream become a reality. Several years later, they have established themselves as one of the premier dust control service providers in the Phoenix area.  They operate a growing fleet of trucks, trailers, and various water tank systems.  And they have expanded their operations to include a wide array of commercial and residential water delivery services including pool-filling, landscape watering, and even providing water to movie production sets for rain-making machines.

A New Niche in Nearby California

When the recent wildfires started sweeping across southern California, officials there began reaching out to equipment rental fleets and water delivery services in the region to secure basic sanitary services for the brave men and women who suit up to fight the fires every day.  Many of the firefighters are deployed into remote areas for extended periods, creating a need for portable services like restrooms, shower trailers, and portable laundry trailers to keep firefighters safe, comfortable, and healthy. Because of their extensive water delivery capabilities, our client was able to begin assisting with the support effort almost immediately.  As their involvement in the firefighting arena grew, they noticed that coordinators were having a hard time keeping up with demand for portable shower trailers.  This was an urgent problem, as the firefighters returning from a day’s work were generally exhausted – and very dirty. Shower Trailers for Extreme Applications

It takes an especially tough and durable shower trailer to stand up to the high traffic and grimy conditions presented by large crews of off-duty firefighters.  But after we listened carefully to their requirements for capacity and durability – we were able to match our new client up with a pair of shower trailers that are perfectly suited to this challenging environment. We delivered two six-station shower trailers, allowing our client to immediately begin providing shower service to multiple teams.  The units we sent provide all the privacy and convenience of a traditional brick and mortar shower house, they’re tough enough to stand up to a crew of hard-working firefighters day after day, and they can easily be moved from one location to the next with a standard towing vehicle. Each stall has its own locking external entry.   Inside is a spacious shower stall and a private dressing area with a built-in utility bench.  The entire unit is climate controlled with a roof-mounted air conditioner and integrated heat strips.  A tankless hot water heater ensures that hot water is always available.  Water can be sourced from the onboard 225-gallon freshwater tank, or the unit can be connected to a city water supply if one is available.

Direct Draining Shower Trailers for Remote Locations

One special requirement for these particular shower trailers was that they needed to drain grey water directly to the environment, because no sewer service would be available at the firefighters’ camps.  We showed our client several options that met this requirement, with built-in filtration to meet all environmental regulations.
