Section 179 of the Internal Revenue Tax Code was developed as part of several economic stimulus bills to help business owners and encourage them to invest in capital equipment. It allows businesses to deduct the full purchase price of qualifying equipment purchased or financed during the tax year.How does it work? Generally when a business buys or leases certain types of equipment, they are written off gradually through depreciation. What makes Section 179 unique, is that is allows businesses to write off the entire purchase price of applicable equipment the same year they buy it.  This encourages businesses to buy or lease as much equipment as they need, until they reach the limit on equipment purchases.What are the limitations? For 2014 returns, an equipment purchaser or lessee can deduct up to $25,000 from their tax burden. After $25,000, a bonus depreciation rate of 50% kicks in. There is a $200,000 cap on the Section 179 Deduction, with reduced deductions beyond that.Equipment must be purchased between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014 to apply to the Section 179 deduction. To receive the deduction in 2014, all equipment must be delivered and in-use by midnight on December 31, 2014. This means now is a great time to purchase an in-stock unit; we will ensure delivery by the deadline. The first annual Charlotte Cattle Baron’s Ball took place this past weekend on Saturday, November 8, 2014. The western gala was a fundraiser event for the American Cancer Society. The gala, held at Bruton Smith’s Churchill Stables in Midland, NC, included both silent and live auctions, cocktails, and live entertainment that featured North Carolina native, Kellie Pickler.The goal of this elegant affair was to raise money for cancer research, programs, detection, prevention, and education. They accomplished that with the help of such activities as the silent and live auctions, which consisted of a 10-day African Safari, weekend trip to New York, an Aspen Ski Vacation, as well as other extravagant prizes. A NASCAR Experience package was also included in the auction and donated by Honoree, Bruton Smith, owner of Charlotte Motor Speedway. He is very active in the philanthropic world, as he is the founder of Speedway Children’s Charities, which has distributed more than $47 million to bring support to children.Fortunately Portable Restroom Trailers was able to be a part of the evening, as we provided a luxurious Beach Comfort Elite III restroom trailer for the guests. Liberty State Park is a beautiful park in Jersey City, New Jersey, located opposite Liberty Island and Ellis Island. The park originally opened in 1976 during the bicentennial celebration as a gift to our country. There are many attractions throughout the park that make it special.Two special attractions include Freedom Way and the Liberty Walk Promenade. Freedom Way is a road that winds through the center of the park and separates the public area from an area that is closed to the public. Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, is located in Chicago, Illinois and was built in 1914. It wasn’t until 1927 that it officially became known as Wrigley Field.
