They also take time to help make a difference in their community. Most recently, Hooters in the Lakeland, FL location held a blood donation event! They, of course, offered 10 pieces of their world-renowned wings, along with a movie ticket in exchange for donations. It’s so amazing to have a local hub you can count on.

As most know, the latest hurricane season wasn't so kind to the Florida Panhandle specifically. This establishment needed to make sure they were doing all they could to not only stay up and running but make sure their employees had resources to keep things running.

A Fun Filled Bar and Restaurant
Hooters has been in business since October 4, 1983, in Clearwater, Florida. Originally, this concept was created by the famous “Hooters six,” a group of buddies who were really just looking for a place where they could all hang out together. The restaurant was named after famed and beloved comedian Steve Martin’s comedy sketch.
One of the most iconic things about Hooters is the beloved waitresses. With food and service served with a smile, they knew they had an unbeatable formula. The test would be the 1984 Super Bowl. After that successful day, this little joint’s fame began to spread. The Hooters Six could not have predicted how much the public yearned for a fun, casual alternative to the existing fern bars and fine dining establishments. As they say, the rest has been history! Hooters has since become a fun oasis to all.

When word first broke of Hurricane Michael, higher-ups decided early on that they needed to ensure that employees and consumers would be able to see relief at their establishments. Since Florida is the first home of Hooters, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that when an opportunity came to help their community and home state, they would.
