When a disaster strikes, you can count on America to step up and help its fellow citizens. From thousands of volunteers who choose to go out and help those in need for free to those who make it a career to protect, serve, and save, this country knows how to unite when facing a crisis. We support our troops with portable restroom rentals and shower trailer rentals for Hurricane Florence.
In September of 2018, hundreds of communities were affected by Hurricane Florence. The devastation it caused was not anticipated, and many families and businesses found themselves with very little to come home to. Many struggled to evacuate in time, and sadly, lives were lost. Despite the devastation, hope was not lost.
As organizations arrived to help those in need, heroic stories circled the internet, highlighting people who saved animals from drowning, rescued stranded families, and helped to provide shelter for those who had lost everything.
While volunteers may temporarily throw themselves into the chaos to aid with disaster relief, there are many who do it for a living. As always, the military was onsite to help citizens in need during the hurricane. They choose to put their lives at risk daily to protect those who need it.
When they reached out with a need for a portable restroom rental, we were happy to step up and partner with them.
HEROES AT WORK
Of the many communities that were affected by Hurricane Florence, some suffered far more than others. The city of Fayetteville was somewhat unprepared for the damage they would see. When the hurricane initially hit, it seemed as if they aftermath would be mild, but they soon found out differently. Hurricane Florence hit the city, with winds of up to 50 mph. Trees fell and 15 inches of rain were left behind, Then as it passed, left rivers steady riding and the impending threat of severe flooding rose. As recovery efforts began, the military set up temporary bases throughout the area, including in the city of Fayetteville. They began aiding those who had evacuated and hoped to return, those who needed aid, and more. The troops worked tirelessly to not only get those in danger to safety, but to ensure that those rescued felt a sense of safety and security once they were assisted. While the troops were hard at work, they may not have thought about those basic amenities needed to live day to day comfortably. Long hours on search and rescue missions, wading through flooding, and other strenuous jobs took their toll. This 16 foot portable restroom rental is equipped for moderate use with a 430 gallon waste take and 85 gallon fresh water tank. The exterior is cleanly designed and sturdy, built to take on the most uncomfortable of weather climates. Each suite has safe aluminum steps and a handrail for guided access. Visitors will also find ample lighting for safe access no matter what time, day or night.
As visitors enter the suites, they’ll find a women's suite with three stalls and a men's suite with one stall and two urinals. Each stall is protected by ¾ height privacy walls, and walls are also provided for additional privacy at urinals. The entire portable restroom rental is equipped with non-slip flooring, flushing toilets, and a sink vanity with a shatterproof mirror.
The entire unit also features air conditioning and heat strips in order to maintain a comfortable interior temperature no matter what outside weather may be like. These strips can easily increase or decrease the temperature of the unit when necessary, ensuring that guests have a comfortable experience.

While a restroom is an amenity that quickly comes to mind, many forget that after working long hours in rough weather, the need for a shower is likely to arise.
