Rebuilding Our Beaches with Portable Restroom Trailers
With the summer season finally in full swing it is important for cities with a strong beach community to prepare for a busy season. Beaches are often a large source of income for some towns and it is important to local businesses and residents that the beach is well organized and prepared for large crowds.
After Hurricane Sandy many beach communities on the east coast are still rebuilding. Rockaway Beach in New York is open after a $140 million clean-up effort. They have been able to install modular bathrooms and lifeguard quarters. They had previously set up portable restrooms to handle the crowd’s needs during the rebuilding efforts.

The visitors agree there is still work to be done to restore the beach but they are still able to enjoy all that has been accomplished so far.
Other things to consider during the process of rebuilding our beaches:
Lifeguards and other staff: The beach personnel should be trained and updated on any changes made. Visitors will have concerns and they will look to the beach staff to answer questions.
Concessions: Rebuilding concessions can be a vital step to rebuilding the beach economy. Supporting local business owners who are also trying to rebuild and have a profitable season will help the community.
Portable Restrooms: Restroom trailers are an excellent way to provide facilities while rebuilding beach amenities. With a variety of sizes and styles, many beach communities are looking to utilize bathroom trailers as a longer term solution for a beach’s restroom needs. Since they are mobile, they can easily be moved when a storm develops.
Portable Restroom Trailers hopes everyone has a great beach season! Stay safe and remember to use sun block!
