Macy's Thanksgiving Day Prade 2010One of the timeless traditions of the Thanksgiving holiday is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. People travel to New York City from all over the world to witness this renowned holiday staple.
In addition to experiencing the parade itself, one of the more famous sites of the parade that people love are the gigantic balloons. Whether it’s live or on TV, children, adults, and everyone in between love to see the larger than life characters as they glide through the air high above. Unfortunately, the impending storm up and down the eastern region has the flight of the balloons in jeopardy.
One of the risk factors that are taken into account for the balloons is the wind. Sustained winds of 23 mph and gusts more than 34 mph could keep some of the bigger characters, such as Snoopy, SpongeBob, and Pikachu grounded. But no one will know what’s going to happen until the last minute. According to a Macy’s representative, "A determination is made on their inclusion based on real-time weather data on parade morning and not forecasts, so it's not helpful to discuss it now." For now, we’ll just have to hope for the best and wait until tomorrow morning.
We, at Portable Restroom Trailers, hope that all the balloons can fly high tomorrow! We like to see them, too!
In the unfortunate event of storm or wind damage, we are happy to provide restroom trailers and shower trailers. They are sturdy and safe, and can be relocated in a moment’s notice.

We are thankful for all of you and wish you a very happy and safe Thanksgiving!
