Skate Through Winter With Restroom Trailers

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, it’s starting to feel a lot more like winter. Holiday decorations are sprouting up on people’s lawns and the temperature is dropping quickly. While the snow and cold temperatures may be dreaded by some, there is one group that is definitely looking forward to the season; outdoor skaters!

Whether on an outdoor skating rink or on a frozen pond, winter is the only time of year for lacing up your skateSkaters, bundling up, and enjoying the winter weather. For cities and towns that have outdoor skating rinks they are a great seasonal activity for tourists and locals alike.

The City of Appleton, Wisconsin provides a total of four outdoor ice skating locations. They are free to the public and include warming areas and restrooms. For this and many other reasons, Appleton was voted one of the best places to live by Money Magazine in 2010.

Outdoor ice rinks aren’t just for northern states. Fort Worth, Texas just got their first outdoor ice rink. The Coyote Drive-In is adding an outdoor rink to their business for the 2013-14 season. The ice skaters will have access to the same restrooms and concessions that the drive-in patrons will enjoy.

Drive-In theaters that aren’t open year round could take a page from Coyote’s book. Adding an ice rink during their off-season could be a great way to add to the business.

For new and established ice rinks, it is important to have the necessary restroom facilities. If your pond or outdoor rink does not have permanent restrooms, consider a restroom trailer to keep the skating going all day. Our climate controlled restroom trailers are perfect for cold weather conditions. We offer winterization packages for areas that experience extreme climate changes throughout the year, including additional heat, extra insulation, and waste tank protection from near-freezing temperatures.
