PRT Helps New Restroom Trailer Companies

After 7 years in business, several restroom conventions, and trips to manufacturing plants, Portable Restroom Trailers has become very involved in the restroom operator community. One of the things we enjoy most is the ability to give back by helping new businesses enter the industry. If you’ve thought about starting your own business or adding portable restrooms to your existing products or services, PRT is here to help. We’ve already had the privilege of helping Seven Hills Events get their restroom trailer business started this summer. Here are a few lessons new businesses can learn from Seven Hills Events and our own experiences: “As a startup company, we benefited from establishing B2B relationships first instead of directly marketing to individual clients.” There is great value in building a strong network of business relationships to help start your company. Because of Seven Hills’ relationship with us, we are able to work with them to help rent or sell their restroom trailers. They have also partnered with tent companies and other event planners to help bring in more clients. “This is a seasonal business, and I recommend new companies start in the late fall or early winter to build a stronger book of summer business.” Seven Hills Events is focusing their business on weddings. This means that their spring and summer will be much busier. Starting your business in the off-season gives you a chance to build your business connections and grow a base of new customers. Focus on quality… Like Portable Restroom Trailers, Seven Hills rents out high quality restroom trailers. Their trailers have china sinks and toilets, nice soaps, and a seating area to provide an upscale experience. Moving away from port-a-potties is a great way to stand out and deliver excellent value to your customers. PRT is on a mission to encourage other companies to take on rental trailers to replace port-a-potties and change the experience everywhere. We have helped 5 other businesses get started in the restroom trailer industry and look forward to helping many more. If you have any questions about portable restrooms feel free to reach out to us!

Portable Restroom Trailers Goes Back to School

Evanston Middle School is located in the South West corner of Wyoming in the Uinta County School District. The middle school will be undergoing some renovations so they will be needing additional restroom facilities. Consequently they reached out to Portable Restroom Trailers.Although the first day of school is August 25th, the trailer will be arriving this week so that the renovations can get underway and the restroom trailer can be set up and working in time for the beginning of the new school year. This year, Evanston Middle School has enrolled more students than ever before so they were in need of increased restroom space. Additionally, the school board told the school that they needed to add more handicap accessible facilities.Because of these new requirements the school decided to remodel everything at once. Unfortunately the work wasn’t completed in time so the remodel and renovations must continue into the school year. This is why they needed to purchase a portable restroom for their students. The school purchased a 6-10 station ADA trailer with the Arctic Package. The ADA trailer was a great choice to provide more handicap facilities. These trailers have non-slip ramps for easy accessibility, as well as a larger space to allow for full wheelchair rotation. In addition, the Arctic Package is very important if the trailer is in a location where freezing temperatures will be expected. Situated in Wyoming, and close to the mountains, weather in Evanston is very unpredictable and it’s possible that the trailer could still be there in the winter, so the Arctic package was essential. The Arctic package protects the pipes and tanks from freezing. During the construction process, the trailers are made with heating ducts throughout the trailer, as well as special antifreeze gel that flows through the pipes to prevent freezing. Managing a frozen plumbing system in a restroom trailer at a middle school while construction is going on is not an ideal situation for anyone. That is why Portable Restroom Trailers takes care in providing many solutions to help prevent various problems and concerns. We hope the construction goes well and we wish the best of luck to the students of 2014-2015!

Portable Restroom Trailers Goes to a High School Reunion

At the end of July, Portable Restroom Trailers had the pleasure of providing a last minute restroom trailer rental for the Mentor High School Class of ‘84 reunion. The reunion took place in Mentor, Ohio at the Mentor Lagoons Marina which offers quick and direct access to Lake Erie. The marina is adjacent to the beautiful Nature Preserve which includes miles of trails and wild beach, great for walking, kayaking, canoeing, or sailing. The docks at the marina where the reunion took place are private, so each owner must provide their own portable toilets. In order to keep the toilets and visitors safe, the owners must always keep their porta potties locked up. This is one of the biggest reasons why the class needed a restroom trailer rental for the event. Since approximately 160 classmates and guests were expected to attend the reunion, two docks and grass lots had to be reserved for enough space. The Elite 3 was the perfect portable restroom for the event. It comes from our Comfort Series line of restroom trailers which is both practical and elegant, great for any occasion. The portable restroom is compact to fit in almost any location but spacious enough for two private women’s suites and one men’s suite. It is climate controlled, provides flush-able toilets, and running water for optimum cleanliness and safety. The restroom trailer received raving reviews. Here’s what the reunion coordinator said: Are you kidding me?! The bathrooms were the HIT of the reunion! They were incredible! People will be talking about the "5 star" bathrooms for quite some time! John, the driver, was beyond belief! I did not have to worry about a thing. Our location was a bit tricky for him due to limited electrical hook up. I thought we had enough, but with the lights, and bands, the electricity was limited. During the evening, he checked on the trailer, he walked around the lagoons to find extra outlets and then "made it happen". Who does that these days! ...Because of his service, I was able to spend time with my classmates. I have to reiterate how much your customer service meant to me. You made this process so easy. THANK YOU! You were available whenever I needed. Your customer service was incredible. Your product was EXACTLY as promised! You had no "hidden fees". Your driver was on time and very professional. YOU were marvelous! If you find yourself in a predicament, remember it’s not too late to call us. We’ll work hard to get you the best trailer to accommodate your needs...even at the last minute.

Long Term Restrooms Added to 'Trailer City'

Seasonal businesses often face some serious facility and restroom challenges. Whether it’s a restaurant in a tourist location, a ski resort, a beach, or even a nuclear power plant, areas that have to plan for an especially busy time of year can face some interesting restroom trailer needs.Portable Restroom Trailers has provided long term restroom rentals for beaches and restaurants to handle a high number of seasonal visitors. We have also provided construction companies with portable restrooms to handle large construction crews.A new client has handled their enormous seasonal needs in a very impressive way. Entergy Corporation owns and operates power plants across the country and is one of the nation’s leading nuclear generators. Its 14,000 employees deliver power to over 2.8 million utility customers. For four months out of the year, Entergy’s nuclear plant in Lycoming, NY hires an additional 1,100 employees. That’s a huge number of temporary employees to provide facilities for! Building a facility big enough to support that large of a team for only four months out of the year would be a huge expense. To handle the additional workforce, Entergy sets up a “trailer city” with temporary offices, vendors, medical trailers, and restroom trailers. By renting the trailers needed to put together this “city” Entergy is able to have the most up to date facilities every year so their employees are comfortable and they don’t end up with a gigantic building that loses value. For their employee’s restroom needs, they rented an Executive 8-10 station restroom trailer. It is ideal for accommodating the 1,100 employees the plant will be adding to its workforce. In previous years, Entergy has used an older model restroom trailer that had certainly seen better days. Now, for the 15 weeks they’ll need it, the employees will have one of the newest models available.Whether accommodating a slightly bigger seasonal crowd or adding a thousand people to your team, a restroom trailer is a great way to support your facility’s restroom needs without the trouble of building additional permanent facilities.
