Portable Restroom Trailers

Why Hospitals Love Our ADA Portable Restrooms for Rent

PRT has worked with hospitals around the country to help ease the pain of their renovation and expansion projects with our ADA portable restrooms for rent. Renovating and expanding hospitals is one of the most complicated and challenging jobs in the entire construction industry.  For starters, hundreds of people on the hospital staff will need to work normally while the construction takes place.  None of the utilities can be turned off – they’re all needed for patients and equipment.  And emergencies will happen.  That’s why they call it the “emergency room.”  Now add in all the elements of a construction project: the crew, the equipment, and the scheduling –you’ll quickly see why this type of job presents a unique challenge.Operating a hospital and a construction site in the same footprint places a burden on every resource you can imagine.  There are not enough parking spaces for the hospital crew.  There is not enough staging space for the construction crew.  And there are almost certainly not enough bathrooms to accommodate either one. While you can’t magically create more parking spaces – you can magically create more bathrooms. PRT has worked with hospitals around the country to help ease the pain of their renovation and expansion projects with our ADA portable restrooms for rent.  In fact, we recently shipped out a brand-new trailer for just such a job.Cutting Edge Healthcare in the CarolinasCarolinas Healthcare System is a huge network of hospitals, urgent care centers, and outpatient practices that operates facilities in North Carolina and South Carolina.  The system is anchored by its flagship hospital, the Carolinas Medical Center, near downtown Charlotte.CHS employs about 60,000 people and treats about 12 million patients each year.  It operates 8 full-service hospitals, 15 regional medical centers, and more than 20 urgent care centers and freestanding emergency rooms.  When you factor in physician practices, laboratories, nursing homes, etc. – there are more than 900 locations in the system’s network. With 900 locations, CHS is no stranger to building renovations, expansions, and new construction projects.  And we’re very proud to say that Carolinas Healthcare System relies on PRT to provide ADA portable restrooms for rent and for sale to support its ongoing growth. Our ADA Portable Restrooms for Rent – Just What the Doctor OrderedOur restroom trailers provide all the comfort and convenience of a permanent indoor restroom in a small footprint that can easily be moved from one location to another.  This makes them a perfect fit for large healthcare systems where a restroom might need to be moved frequently between different work sites. The trailer that we recently shipped out to Carolinas Healthcare System was an ADA-compliant model from our Comfort Series.  Three private suites and all-season climate control mean this trailer can accommodate any guest in comfort.  It’s a perfect solution for large healthcare systems where cleanliness and mobility are top priorities. The Comfort Elite ADA +2 Station trailer can easily be relocated from one site to another by any standard towing vehicle with a powered hitch.  Its compact footprint means that anywhere you have 20 feet of space available, you can instantly install a full-service bathroom to comfortably accommodate work crews, guests, and employees – regardless of any special needs or mobility impairments. Why Our ADA Portable Restrooms for Rent are the Market LeaderThere’s a good reason why PRT’s Comfort Elite ADA +2 Station trailer is the most popular ADA-compliant portable restroom trailer sold in America.  No other design on the market includes the features, the high-end components, and the impressive convenience that we’ve designed in to this trailer. The unisex ADA-compliant suite is accessible by an external folding ramp with 1 ¼-inch stainless steel railing.  You won’t need to worry about the incline of the ramp; when the trailer is in position, an on-board hydraulic lift system lowers the entire trailer to ground level with the push of a button.Inside the ADA suite, you’ll find that the sink, faucet, door handle, and toilet are all configured for easy wheelchair access.  The walls around the toilet include assistance grab rails, and the toilet itself features a convenient push-button flush mechanism.  The roomy ADA suite allows a full 360-degree turning radius for standard wheelchairs.High-End Components for Low Maintenance and Long LifeAll three suites in our Comfort Elite ADA +2 Station trailer use the most durable and high-quality components available today.  The sink basins and toilets are real china.  The mar-resistant interior walls are insulated.  The framed glass mirrors are shatterproof.  And the floor is constructed of a single piece of non-skid rubber. In the men’s and women’s suites, the solid surface countertops include in-counter wastebaskets.  Toilets operate with a convenient and clean pedal-flush mechanism.  The men’s suite features a solid china urinal.  Both suites have wall-mounted soap and paper towel dispensers, with wall-to-wall locking vanities to hold months of supplies without restocking.Low-profile heat strips and a 9M BTU roof-mounted air conditioner bring year-round comfort to all our luxury portable restrooms for rent.  In addition to being comfortable, the trailer is safe. Abundant LED porch lighting on each entryway guarantees that your guests will enter and exit safely – no matter the time of day.If you’d like to learn more about PRT’s luxury portable restrooms for rent or for purchase, please contact us right away at (877) 600-8645.  Our customer satisfaction team will make sure that you get all the information you need about our extensive product line and each of our various financing options.

Comfortable Community Events with Portable Restroom Trailers

Recently, Portable Restroom Trailers was contacted by a representative from the government of a suburban county on the outskirts of Atlanta, GA.  The county was on the market for a new portable restroom solution, and they heard about PRT from a local contact in the event rentals industry. For years, the county had regularly rented portable restrooms to accommodate their busy summer event schedule.  After taking a closer look at the expense of repeat rentals versus the cost of investing in their own portable restroom trailers – they decided to give us a call and open a dialogue about the possibility of purchasing a trailer or two.Accommodating Big Summer Crowds with Portable Restroom Trailers This particular county plays host to an impressive schedule of free public events every summer.  They have a regular schedule of themed family events that take place in the county park system.  They host art and sculpture exhibits in various parks and town centers.  There is a weekly outdoor movie at an amphitheater in the county every Saturday night.  And once a month on Fridays, they host big outdoor music concerts in the county seat.In the past, they had always relied on rented portable restrooms to accommodate the crowds at their summer events.  But, as you would expect, they ran into occasional issues around maintenance, capacity, and rental availability.  The county had also received more than a few complaints from citizens with special needs about the inconvenience and discomfort of trying to manage their private matters in the very public setting of a traditional portable restroom. The Requirements – Clean, Accessible Comfort with Low MaintenanceThe first requirement that the county communicated to us was accessibility.  They specifically wanted trailers that would provide privacy and comfort for citizens with special needs – within the legal boundaries of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Portable Restroom Trailers offers a wide range of ADA-compliant trailers in various floor plans and trim options.  Our ADA trailers feature a folding ramp system with stainless steel railing – and the interior of the ADA stall allows a full 360-degree turning radius for wheelchairs. The second requirement was for air conditioning.  After all, this county is in Georgia – and the trailers would be used primarily for summertime events.  Our Elite Series trailers feature a low-profile 9 BTU roof-mounted air conditioning system, so this requirement was no problem.  The county was also pleased to learn that the Elite Series also features an optional hot water hand wash setup – which they wanted in order to comply with CDC hand-washing recommendations. Finally, the county wanted to ensure that they wouldn’t have any problems because of freezing temperatures – whether the trailers were in storage or brought out for use during the occasional winter event.  This was less of a concern than the air conditioning requirement, but they do receive the occasional light frost between November and March – and they wanted to make sure that they wouldn’t have any unexpected maintenance issues as a result.  Our Arctic Package met this requirement with full insulation throughout the unit, and 1500 kw heaters in each suite for wintertime operation.Finding the Right Financing After walking through all the requirements and specifications, the county requested some detailed information on our Elite Series ADA-Compliant portable restroom trailers with the optional Arctic Package.  They took the details back to be considered by their purchasing committee, along with information on our 6 month buy back policy, our extended warranty program, and our various financing arrangements including long-term rentals, and our lease-to-own program. The county’s purchasing committee came back with a quick decision.  After weighing the cost of investing in new portable restroom trailers against the long-term cost of their rental agreements – they decided to invest in their own trailers.  The required investment was low enough that the county opted to purchase the trailers outright rather than enroll in our lease-to-own program. We delivered two Elite ADA Trailers with the Arctic Package in early 2017.  We’re very excited to start receiving feedback from the county representatives as their summer event schedule gets underway.  We know they will be thrilled with our ongoing customer service, and we’re happy to welcome another satisfied customer to the Portable Restroom Trailers family.

Modern ADA Restroom Rentals for a Historic Amusement Park

Kings Dominion has a unique place in the history and tradition of American amusement parks, and PRT is proud to be the park’s long-term partner for portable ADA restroom rentals.  Founded in 1975 outside Richmond, VA – Kings Dominion was built in the model of its successful sister park, Kings Island, near Cincinnati, OH.  Only two years after its grand opening, Kings Dominion was featured in the major Hollywood production Rollercoaster, starring Henry Fonda.Over the following 40+ years, Kings Dominion has continually expanded – regularly adding new roller coasters and rides to its 400-acre campus.  Its 305-foot-high Drop Tower was the tallest freefall ride in the world when it opened in 2003.  And its infamous Volcano roller coaster draws thrill seekers from around the world – helping to propel parent company Cedar Fair to record-high revenues in 2016.   Providing an Accessible Experience to All Guests, Regardless of Physical Abilities   Throughout its storied history, the accessibility of its rides, events, and attractions has been a source of pride for Kings Dominion.  An ADA-compliant shuttle bus is available to transport guests to and from the park’s campground and several nearby hotels.  And the park offers motorized wheelchair rentals to make the entire campus easily accessible to guests with any type of mobility impairment.Almost every ride in the park is wheelchair accessible.  Several of the rides have wheelchair lifts allowing easy access to 2nd story loading platforms.  Rides that require use of gas pedals have optional hand controls.  Some rides have been built with removable sides to allow easy access to those with mobility impairments.  And several more rides have special transfer devices that allow riders to move from their wheelchair into the ride seat with ease.Kings Dominion has never limited its accessibility efforts to rollercoasters and rides.  Many of the attractions in its 20-acre Soak City water park are also wheelchair accessible.  And each one of the park’s show venues is wheelchair accessible, with assisted listening devices and large print scripts available for the hearing impaired.   Partnering with PRT for Long-Term Restroom Rentals   Back in 2015, Kings Dominion contacted PRT to arrange a long-term rental agreement for an ADA restroom trailer.  Park management had identified an area within the Soak City water park where an ADA-compliant restroom would provide additional convenience for guests in wheelchairs.  We helped Kings Dominion find a trailer that met their requirements and fit perfectly into the available space. The grounds crew at Kings Dominion put up a few additional feet of fencing to create a themed entryway for the restroom trailer.  They added a custom paint job to the new fencing, and the trailer fit seamlessly into the existing water park.  Guests were very pleased with the new restroom.  We were thrilled to welcome Kings Dominion to the PRT family and introduce them to our ongoing customer support team. Our initial rental agreement began in April 2015 with a 5-month term.  The portable ADA restroom was initially viewed as a short-term fix – but it worked so well that Kings Dominion opted to extend the agreement when it ran out in the fall of 2015, and they’ve been a happy PRT customer ever since.   Fully ADA Compliant Portable Restroom Rentals   PRT’s ADA restroom trailers are a simple and attractive solution that can bring accessible bathrooms to any location.  The ADA +2 trailer rented by Kings Dominion features a fully compliant unisex ADA stall, along with one dedicated women’s stall and one dedicated men’s stall.  The trailer comes standard with a folding wheelchair ramp with stainless steel railings.  When in position, the entire trailer lowers to ground level using an integrated hydraulic lift system. Each of the bathroom stalls features authentic china fixtures, shatterproof mirrors, and solid surface countertops with in-counter wastebaskets.  The unisex ADA stall has a push-button flush mechanism.  The sink, faucet, and door handle are wheelchair accessible; and the stall allows a full 360-degree turning radius for standard-sized wheelchairs. As with all PRT trailers, the interior is finished with high-end components that provide a long lifetime of clean comfort with minimal maintenance.  The insulated walls are finished with mar-resistant laminate.   The one-piece ceiling houses the low-profile air supply and return for the roof-mounted air conditioner.  The bottom of each stall is constructed with one piece of non-skid rubber flooring.  And abundant LED lighting at each doorway ensures safe entry and exit in low light.   Extending Our Relationship with Kings Dominion   We were very pleased to learn recently that Kings Dominion will be continuing their rental agreement with PRT through the summer of 2017.  We look forward to providing whatever support is necessary to fulfill their needs over the coming year.  Repeat business is a key metric for measuring our success here at PRT.  We view each of our long-term restroom rentals as an important gauge of our ongoing goal of 100% customer satisfaction.

The Most Beautiful Backdrop for Shower Trailer Rentals

When you think of shower trailer rentals, you probably don’t conjure up images of astounding natural beauty.  But, then again, maybe you should.  As PRT has learned over the last several years, our industry-leading restroom trailers are right at home among some of the most beautiful natural scenery that America has to offer. Sprawling across the Sierra Nevada mountain range lies one of our country’s most prized natural resources.  Sequoia National Park is home to the infamous “Giant Forest” of sequoia trees, and the General Sherman Tree – the largest living tree in the world. More than a million adventurers visit the park each year.  When you consider that the park spans more than 400,000 acres and keeps a staff of hundreds working all year long – you can see how managing the shower trailers might start to become a real challenge. Shower Trailer Rentals for Remote Locations When you’re introducing a shower trailer in a remote location, there are some additional concerns that you don’t typically consider for an urban or suburban location.  Accessibility for maintenance and pumping, durability in harsh conditions, and trailer security must all be taken into account. In a setting like Sequoia National Park, mobility is also a major concern, as large working teams routinely move from one location to another.  And during the busy summertime season, large crowds can spring up in various locations throughout the park. After weighing their requirements against the benefits of several different options, the management of Sequoia National Park decided to contact PRT.  They wanted to discuss the possibility of a long-term rental agreement for a special need of theirs – highly mobile shower trailer rentals that include a hot shower. PRT’s 6 Station Shower/Restroom Combo Our 6 station shower/restroom combo proved to be a great fit for the needs of the staff at Sequoia National Park.  These trailers offer 6 separate unisex stalls, each with a private toilet, sink, and hot water shower. When visitors enter the stall through the private, locking exterior doorway they are greeted by an array of high-end features that provide cleanliness and comfort.  The full-size 32x32-inch shower stalls are a single piece of molded acrylic, separated from the changing area by a privacy curtain.  The changing area features a flushable china toilet, a shatter-proof vanity mirror, and a corner sink. The instant hot water is powered by dual propane tanks which together provide enough fuel to heat 700 short showers.  Low-profile heat strips and a roof-mounted air conditioner are available for additional comfort through all four seasons. Shower Trailer Rental on the Move One of the biggest requirements for Sequoia National Park was mobility.  They need to be able to move all shower trailer rentals regularly from one place to another, to follow work crews as they move around the park. Our simple “hitch & tow” design means you can move a PRT trailer anytime with a standard powered trailer hitch.  With standard ball sizes and an electric braking system, moving our trailers from one location to another is as easy as it can be.  Contact our customer satisfaction team anytime at (877) 600-8645 to request specifications for tongue weight, curb weight and trailer dimensions. Clients with exceptionally big sites have been some of the best early adopters of PRT’s new Smarter Restrooms Mobile App.  Our app includes visual GPS-tracking on all compatible shower trailer rentals, along with the ability to remotely lock the unit, check tank levels, and more. Long-Term Partnerships – A PRT Passion At PRT, one of our most important business metrics is repeat business.  Every time a customer calls us back to place a repeat order, we celebrate.  We know that the confidence and appreciation of our clients is our single biggest business asset, and we work hard to uphold a gold standard of customer satisfaction for each one of our customers. We were very pleased to hear from Sequoia National Forest recently that they will be extending their long-term rental agreement with PRT.  We are honored to be a partner in the ongoing success of our national park system, and we’re looking forward to exceeding the expectations of the Sequoia National Forest staff for another term. If you’re interested in joining the family of satisfied PRT customers, please get in touch with us by phone or using the contact form on our website.  Someone from our dedicated customer satisfaction team will be happy to review your requirements and discuss the many different options PRT provides for shower trailer rentals and financing plans.

Aldi Grocery is Betting on Growth with ADA Portable Restrooms for Rent

We offer these fully ADA portable restrooms for rent to Aldi so they can fulfill their ADA obligations. Each unit sports a wheelchair accessible sink, ADA compliant faucet, easy to operate door handles, and an easily accessible door handles. It’s a big bet - are trend-conscious suburban consumers ready to trade in their full-service grocery shopping experience for a sprawling chain of discount stores with bare-bones service?Aldi and other discount grocers are hoping their vision of deep-discount stores - where you have to put a quarter deposit on a cart and do your own bagging - is the future of the grocery business in the US. Aldi, and a handful of smaller chains are aggressively expanding across the country.Until recently, the Germany-based company has been primarily focused on low-income consumers. As they push forward into wealthier areas of the country, their initial results seem promising. Current economics aside, even wealthier Americans are becoming more budget conscious, and Aldi is trying to appeal to their new demographic by adding several upscale options, including organic foods.A recent study from Bernstein Research seems to support Aldi’s aggressive growth plans. The report predicts grocery discounters will double their annual sales growth by 2020.Still, Aldi is providing a very different shopping experience for American consumers. While smaller U.S. based grocery chains are focused on a luxury, upscale experience, Aldi and other discounters are heading in a radically different direction. Their outlets have little or no decor and no in-store marketing. Over 90% of their food products are house branded, and the selection is very limited when compared with traditional American grocery stores.Aldi recently opened its 16 hundredths store in the U.S. and the last 500 stores built has been in high-traffic suburban retail centers in middle to high-income neighborhoods. The company firmly believes in a lean labor strategy and takes several approaches to trim labor costs. For example, the company charges a .25 deposit on shopping carts, which is returned when the consumer returns their cart to the holding bin. Aldi also places bar codes in multiple places on each item so that cashiers can more quickly process them, which reduces the need for labor.Another innovation can be found in their milk and egg section. Both of these items reside in shelves in movable displays. The upside? Employees can easily restock 240 dozen eggs and 80 gallons of milk in mere seconds.Similarly, Aldi doesn’t take consumer phone calls at local stores. In other words, if a customer has a question, they have to drive there. It may be a starkly different approach than upscale grocery stores, but you can’t argue with the savings, which run 25% to 40% less than traditional grocers.Still, Aldi is not without worrisome competition. A broad range of traditional retailers is moving into the discount grocery space, from Target to dollar stores. Also, some retail grocery stores which have traditionally focused on restaurants are now opening their doors to individual consumers.Another potential competitor is Lidl, another Germany-based grocery discounter. The company has spent the last decade analyzing the U.S. market and now has plans to open three regional headquarters and distribution centers in Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia. While Lidl has not confirmed how many retail stores it plans on launching, it would seem to be concentrating on the East Coast - a region where Aldi established hundreds of locations. For the moment, however, Aldi seems unfazed by its competition and is charging forward into upscale suburbia tastes and pocketbooks. For example, in the past, Aldi has sold no fresh meat and very little produce. Now it sells fresh organic meats. Also, Aldi store-brand foods no longer contain synthetic dyes.Aldi’s foray into the suburbs has not gone unnoticed by resident grocery store chains. For instance, Whole Foods decided to open a discount-modeled chain called 365 by Whole Foods.According to Bernstein Research, stores like Whole Foods will experience a drop in national sales between now and 2020 of 17%, mostly due to discounters mixing fresh and organic foods to their offerings. All of the above aside, Aldi isn’t precisely a pioneer in the large-scale discount grocery space. Back in 1998, Kroger bought discount grocery chains Ruler Foods and Food 4 Less, whose bare-bones style predates Aldi. Kroger has struggled to make these chains work, finding it challenging to understand and communicate with the store’s target demographic.Portable Restroom Trailers and AldiAt PRT, we are proud of our partnership with Aldi and have provided portable restroom trailers to service their grocery store renovation job sites. The portable restroom rentals feature commercial water saving toilets, which include an upgraded super ADA compliant pump system and sanitary push button flush. Other features include a 105-gallon freshwater tank, framed mirrors, and hot water hand wash. While this unit may be compact in size, it sports a variety of features and upgrades previously only available on larger units. Featuring five private unisex suites with ceramic China toilets, space saving corner sinks with mirrors, and an integrated soap dispenser.  We offer these fully ADA portable restrooms for rent to Aldi so they can fulfill their ADA obligations. Each unit sports a wheelchair accessible sink, ADA compliant faucet, easy to operate door handles, and an easily accessible door handles. This unit also includes innovative hydraulic systems that enable the entire trailer and ramp to lower to the ground with a simple push of a button. We have found this design is preferred by our clients because it results in a shorter ramp and smaller environmental footprint. Also, its external bright LED lights indicate if the unit is occupied or not. Separate porch lights create a warm, welcoming look and feel. There is a large mechanical room with a LED waste tank monitoring system, electric power system, and a fresh water tank. The controls for these system are easily found on the backside of the mechanical room. The large 105-gallon freshwater tank and the 325-gallon waste tank provide enough water and waste capacity for approximately 900 uses, including hand washing.*Independently Certified compliant with Federal ADA Standards as of Oct 2013 – This certification does not apply to any state, county, or city rules. We accept reservations up to a year in advance; call us today to inquire about your event date.Call one of our trained National Account Specialists who will assist you in finding the right solution for your event at 1–877–600–8645.
