Portable Restroom Trailers and The Great Toilet Paper Debate

Did you know that Americans use enough toilet paper in one year to wrap the Earth 40 times? Here are some other things about toilet paper that you might not know.  In 1857 Joseph Gayetty invented modern toilet paper and it was first sold in stacks of square sheets.  It wasn’t until 1879 that toilet paper started to be produced in the roll that we have now become familiar with.Speaking of rolls of toilet paper, the age old question is whether you set up your toilet roll to pull from over or under the roll. According to visual.ly the advantages of over are that it’s easier to tear off the desired number of sheets, it’s easier to grab the end, and there is less of a chance of scraping the walls with your knuckles or picking up germs from the wall. On the other hand, the advantages of pulling from under are a cleaner appearance and less of a chance of the roll unraveling, either by a cat or by an environmental cause, such as an earthquake.  Visual.ly also found that 50% of people notice the toilet paper orientation and a bold 20% will flip the roll to the orientation they prefer. Now some people may be wondering “who thinks this much about toilet paper”? Well, at Portable Restrooms Trailers, we do. Portable Restroom Trailers cares about making every customer happy.  Because of that we make sure the restrooms are clean, well lit, and cared for by having an attendant available to make sure all problems are tended to in a timely manner.  Whether you prefer your toilet paper under or over, everyone can agree that Portable Restroom Trailers is the perfect option for any sort of event.

How to Prepare Your Event for a Snow Storm with Restroom Trailers

This past weekend, Hurricane Electra covered many parts of the country with a thick blanket of snow; just in time for the holidays. If you’re getting ready to go skiing, skating, or sledding, this weather is exactly what you’ve been waiting for. If you’re planning an event, especially outdoors, this could give you some added anxiety.A chance of snow or even an incoming snow storm may not necessarily mean the end of your carefully planned event. There are many things you can do to plan ahead and make sure everyone attends your event safely and comfortably no matter what the weather.Clear the Parking LotMake sure you have enough parking for all of your guests. Find out who will be plowing your parking area in the event of snow. Even after being cleared, snow may reduce the space you have to fit your guest’s cars. Plan ahead with a backup location for parking.Prepare the EntranceIf your event is indoors, set up your entrance to accommodate guests coming in from the cold and snow. This area should be prepared to have snow tracked in on people’s winter boots. It should also have room for people to hang their winter coats, hats, and gloves.Serve Warm Food and BeveragesEspecially for an outdoor event, anticipate people looking for food and drink that will warm them up. Serve hot chocolate and coffee, and perhaps even consider a S’mores station.Use Outdoor HeatersPatio heaters or fire pits are great ways to warm up your outdoor areas. Patio heaters are ideal for creating a warm outdoor area without the smoke or smell of a fire. If your event is more upscale, consider renting a few heaters to spread around the area.Make Restrooms Easily AccessibleWhen using a restroom trailer for your outdoor event, make sure it can be easily accessed by your guests. Attach it to the side of your event tent or place it nearby with a neatly cleared path. Portable Restroom Trailers can be equipped with insulation and climate control to keep your guests comfortable.Communication Plan for ChangesNo matter how well you plan your event, there may be situations where it would be safer to cancel or postpone. If the weather becomes too dangerous make sure you have a way to inform your guests about the change. If there is a chance of cancellation, let everyone know ahead of time how you will let them know about this change.Whether it is under clear skies or a flurry of snow we hope your next event goes off without a hitch!

Dog's Mouth vs. Restroom Trailer

Have you ever heard that a dog’s mouth is cleaner than your bathroom or a human’s mouth? Have you ever wondered if it’s true?Well, there are a lot of things cleaner than a bathroom, especially if you’re talking about a public restroom. Portable restroom trailers, for instance, are more sanitary and safer than a public restroom. And they’re easy to maintain, too. The interior is made of an easy-to-clean material which creates a short and swift cleaning experience. Perhaps the question should be, is a dog’s mouth cleaner than a restroom trailer? When it comes to our mouths as compared to a dog’s, according to veterinarian Marty Becker, our mouths are indeed cleaner. Take into consideration all the things and places a dog licks. However, that’s not to say that our mouths are completely germ free either. We carry many kinds of bacteria in our mouths, too. The key is that the bacteria that each carries are species specific, “so a staph or a strep for a human is not transmissible to a dog, if you were to kiss it, and vice versa," said Becker. In actuality, you have a higher chance picking up an illness from another human instead. So don’t worry when your best four-legged friend decides to give you a wet sloppy kiss right on the smacker…enjoy the unconditional adoration!

Restroom Trailers or Restroom Restaurants?

No Restroom Trailers in The Air Yet

Tuesday night on The Tonight Show, Jay Leno had Matt Lauer as a guest. Apparently Matt Lauer does not fly privately because he shared a story with Leno about an incident that occurred on the airplane he was on. Perhaps after hearing what happened, you may not be wishing you were famous after all.During Lauer’s flight he got up to use the restroom but another man beat him to it. So Lauer waited. Then a couple of other people came up and waited behind him. The man eventually came out of the restroom, but unbeknownst to Lauer, had urinated all over the seat and surrounding area. This presented a dilemma for Lauer...who wants to clean up someone else’s urine?! The problem was that Lauer was afraid that if he left it, the person behind him would think that he did it. Needless to say, Lauer did not want that reputation, so he cleaned it up!Unfortunately this is a problem that we all know too well. We’ve all stepped into a porta potty or public restroom at one time and cringed at the mess the previous person left behind. Whether you’re having a large private party or remodeling, portable restroom trailers are the closest thing to your favorite in-home bathroom.Restroom trailers are sanitary, safe, and practical. Unless a family member or friend has bad aim, there won’t be messes left by others for you to clean up.
